REMEMBERANCE SUNDAY

11th. NOVEMBER 2012
GARSTON

The Brethren of the Garston Mark Lodges lead the Wreath Laying Ceremony of Remembrance at the
Cenotaph in Garston.  They were supported by Craft Masons of the Garston Group of Lodges and Chapters.

Many members of the general public who now regularly attend this ceremony were also present.
Two minutes silence was observed at 11.00 followed by a recitation given by W. Bro. Colin Svenson,
after which the West Lancs Mark wreath was laid by V.W. Bro Eric Hughes.

They are shown below accompanied by W.Bro. Jack Stewart.

Afterwards (now an established tradition) the Masons, wives and families repaired to Garston Masonic Hall
for lunch.

The sum of £ 250.00 was realised at the lunch which included a waver of fees by our well known singing
entertainer Miss Sarah Lowe.  It was agreed that this sum be donated to the Royal Signals Benevolent
Fund.  The Rt. W. Provincial Grand Master, Bro. Peter Connolly has intimated that the Province will add to
this.
